In the framework of cooperation between the Egyptian Society for Land Sciences and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in preparation for the celebration of the International Day of Earth as part of the 13th International Conference of the Egyptian Society for Land Sciences.

In this regard

1. The 13th International Conference of the Egyptian Society for Land Science will be held from 4-5 December 2018, under the title of management of resources, water and land under the global climate change.

2. The World Land Day will be celebrated on December 5, 2018, under the slogan "Be the Solution to Soil Pollution". FAO will participate in the celebration as follows:

a. Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) experts will participate in the first day of activities with a presentation on climate change and its impact on the farming system in North Africa and the Near East.

              B. On the second day, FAO will participate in the celebration of the International Land Day by presenting a short documentary film on soil pollution. Mr. Mohamed Abdel Moneim, FAO Land and Water Expert, will present a presentation on soil pollution and its effects on different ecosystems and agricultural production.
